The HLF is backed by award-granting organizations like the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (DNVA), the International Mathematical Union (IMU), and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and its scientific partners are Heidelberg University and the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS). Every year, 200 outstanding young researchers in computer science and mathematics gather at the Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF), a networking event that connects them with the winners of the most prominent awards in their disciplines. The German Klaus Tschira Stiftung, which supports computer science, mathematics, and the natural sciences, formed the HLFF and provides funding for it.

Documents Required:
In order to apply for the Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) 2025 in Germany, the following documents must be uploaded online:- CV, or curriculum vitae
- A statement of motivation
- recommendation letter Honors or other scientific accomplishments (if any).
- A synopsis of the thesis topic
- Transcripts.
- Publications (if any) is also necessary for PhDs and postdocs.
- A picture is optional.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Attendance at the HLF Forum is open to all German applicants.
- Students pursuing computer science, mathematics, or closely related fields are invited to apply.
- Undergraduates and pre-master's students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree are eligible.
- Students enrolled in PhD programs are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates for postdoctoral positions must have completed a PhD within the previous five years. This includes those who work as assistant professors or in the private sector.

It is recommended that young researchers, regardless of their professional stage—undergraduate/pre-master, graduate, PhD, or postdoc—complete and submit their applications using the following website.
An international committee of experts set up by the award-granting institutions thoroughly examines all completed and submitted applications by the deadline to ensure that only the most qualified candidates are invited. There are 100 seats available for math and computer science researchers. By the end of April 2025, all applicants will get notification of their selection status.
