Central European University Scholarships 2025 For International Students

Applications for Hungary's 2025 Central European University Scholarships are now being accepted. International students worldwide can apply for the CEU Scholarships 2025–2026. Students are urged to apply if they wish to pursue a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree at the top university in Hungary. Tuition-fee scholarships are offered for undergraduate studies, while full-funding scholarships are offered for postgraduate courses. Scholarships are available at Central European University for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Under this grant, 17 CEU departments offer more than 50 degree programs. English is used to teach the courses. All master's and doctoral-level costs will be covered by this award, although bachelor's degree students' tuition will still be refunded. Students are not required to submit an application fee to the university. If a student has an English proficiency certificate, they can apply without submitting their IELTS or TOEFL results. For gifted students, this is the most coveted opportunity to study in Hungary without taking the IELTS exam.

Hungary's Central European University Scholarships 2025 are open to international students; they fully pay postgraduate degree programs but solely cover undergraduate tuition. Details are provided below:

Postgraduate Degree:

  • Up to 100% Tuition Fee
  • Health Insurance
  • Monthly Stipend:
    • CEU Master’s Excellence Scholarship: 1,000 EUR/Month
    • CEU Master’s Distinction Scholarship: 750 EUR/Month
    • CEU Master’s Scholarship: 500 EUR/Month
    • CEU Doctoral Scholarships: 1,350 EUR/Month

Undergraduate Degree:

Meritorious students will receive two Presidential Awards, each valued at 5,000 EUR. The grant covers the following tuition expenses for the four years of study:

  • Year I: 500 EUR
  • Year II: 1,000 EUR
  • Year III: 1,500 EUR
  • Year IV: 2,000 EUR

To be eligible for a scholarship at Central European University upon admission, you must turn in the following documents:
  • Prior academic qualifications.
  • Current Curriculum Vitae.
  • Referral letters.
  • Graduate-level research project.
  • An objective statement of purpose.
  • confirmation of proficiency in the English language.
  • Anything more, if necessary.

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for scholarships from Central European Universities in Hungary, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Any international applicant, regardless of their nationality, is eligible to apply.
  • A high school diploma is required for admission to the bachelor's degree program.
  • Admission to a master's program requires a transcript or evidence of undergraduate work.
  • To be admitted to a PhD program, applicants must hold a master's degree.
  • Evidence of fluency in the English language.
