Eligibility Criteria:
In order to qualify for the BaS, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Please reside in the state of Washington. This typically means living in the state for a year before starting college.
- Applicants lacking legal status are accepted by WSOS.
- The income of a household cannot exceed 125% of Washington State's median family income.
- Applicants must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA).
- Plan to enroll in a qualifying college or university in Washington State and major in STEM or healthcare.
- Enroll in at least three credits each autumn, winter, and spring term.
- Not able to hold a bachelor's degree.
- By June of the application year, the candidate must have graduated from Washington State High School or intend to do so.
- A passing GED or a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 are prerequisites.
- Prior to the application deadline, applicants who are enrolled in college must have earned no more than 60 semester or 90 quarter credits.

Application Process:
To apply for a Baccalaureate Scholarship:
- Use the previously listed criteria to confirm your eligibility.
- Complete the scholarship application.
- Completing the WASFA or FAFSA early: The Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be applied for as soon as possible because the application process can take a while.
- Apply for Federal Education Tax Credits if you qualify.
Application Guidance
- Choose a major that interests you from the list of acceptable majors. Notify WSOS if you change your major later on and make sure the new major is still acceptable.
- Make sure the college you choose to attend is on the list of approved institutions.
- When preparing your responses for the application's short answer part, put your story above your writing abilities.
