International students can now apply for the Taiwan ICDF Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded). Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in any subject taught by the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) are eligible for the award.

Flight: 

  • Round-trip For the most direct flights to and from Taiwan, the TaiwanICDF arranges economy class tickets.
  • It is recommended that students review airline-specific regulations on check-in and carry-on baggage, among other things.

Accommodation:

  • Every student is required to live in dorms supplied by the institution, with housing expenses entirely reimbursed.

The cost of tuition:

  • All tuition costs mandated by the student's university are covered by the TaiwanICDF.

Credit Charges:

  • Full coverage is provided for credit fees, which change based on the quantity of credits recorded.

Insurance

  • According to the Ministry of Education, mandatory student safety insurance is offered.
  • For the course of the program, additional accidental and required medical coverage is provided.

Reservation Fees:

  • Instructor-required textbook costs will be reimbursed if the student's institute director gives his or her approval.

Allowance per Month:

  • NT$18,000 per month for living expenses and food is required for the Master's program.
  • Monthly living expenditures and food costs for the Ph.D. program are NT$20,000.
  • Every month, the stipend will be transferred straight into the student's local bank account.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants who wish to be considered for the TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program must:
  • Possess citizenship in one of the aforementioned qualifying nations.
  • Not be a student studying abroad or possess dual citizenship with Taiwan.
  • Comply with the partner university's admissions requirements.
  • fulfill the requirements set forth by Taiwan's government for the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) and Resident Visa (Code: FS).
  • Not get another scholarship from the Taiwanese government in the same school year.
  • Have completed, if applicable, any prior TaiwanICDF scholarship programs before July 31, 2024.
  • Before July 31, 2025, present the highest-level diploma.

Application Process:

The following steps are part of the application process:
  • Online Application: Fill out the online application for TaiwanICDF.
  • University entrance: Send the partner university the necessary entrance paperwork.
  • Review by ROC Embassies: Candidates are recommended after an initial review by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassies.
  • Joint Committee Assessment: A joint recruitment committee reviews applications.
  • Final Selection: Notification and acceptance letters are sent to the selected candidates.
The 2025 TaiwanICDF Scholarship will accept applications from December 1, 2024, until March 15, 2025. To complete their online application and review the admission requirements of the partner university of their choice, interested candidates should go to the official TaiwanICDF website.
