Scholarships for the First Year
- €6,000 Waiver of Early Payment
- If the remaining €8,000 is paid within 21 days of receiving the acceptance letter, all fee-paying students will receive a €6,000 reduction.
- Upon timely payment, this scholarship is automatically awarded.
- The International Excellence Scholarship is worth €4,000.
- You might be eligible for this scholarship if your CGPA is at least 4/5 (or its equivalent).
- Your first year's tuition is now only €10,000.
Scholarships for the Second Year
- Academic Achievement Scholarship of €6,000
- You must earn at least 60 ECTS credits during your first year of study in order to be eligible.
- For the second year, the remaining tuition will be €8,000.
- Finnish Language Achievement Scholarship, €1,000
- Students who finish all of the required Finnish language courses for their degree are eligible for this additional scholarship.
- The remaining tuition for the second year, if granted, will be €7,000.
- To be eligible for this grant, you must first be eligible for the Academic Achievement grant.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for admission and scholarships at the University of Vaasa:
- possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant field from an accredited university or university of applied sciences.

- Tuition is required of non-EU/EEA students unless they fall into one of the following groups:
- A citizen of Switzerland or the EU/EEA.
- Maintain a continuous residency permit (A type) or permanent residence permit (P type) in Finland for reasons other than academic pursuits.
- Have a European Union Blue Card.
- Students must exhibit academic performance, timely tuition payment, and/or completion of needed credits in their first year in order to be eligible for scholarships.
Who Does Not Have to Pay Tuition?
Tuition is not required of you if you:- Are Swiss citizens or citizens of the EU/EEA.
- Maintain a continuous residency permit (A type) or permanent residence permit (P type) in Finland for reasons other than academic pursuits.
- Have a European Union Blue Card.
